A Father’s Day Weekend Adventure

My son and I had a spectacular couple of days away this past weekend. We hadn’t made any specific plans except to stay in Twin Falls and do some exploring.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Twin. It’s a beautiful hotel with what turned out to be a nice pool and exercise room. They also had a great breakfast.

We ended up hiking around Perrine Coulee Waterfall on Friday evening. The fall is huge. The path took us right behind the waterfall where the water rained down on us from the rocks above.

The following day on our way back to the Treasure Valley, we meandered around back roads and farms and ended up at Thousand Springs Reserve. It’s incredible. A ton of springs and small waterfalls were popping out of the rocks and flowing into the Snake River.

Finally, we made it home after a bout of minor brake issues and an assist from a Canyon County Sheriff. I love a good adventure!

Bonus: As an additional technical note. I created this blog post from my phone via IA Writer and sent to Ghost from there. Maybe some more technical discussion to come.
