A Fire In Our Neighborhood

Flashing lights lit up our walls as we sat playing cards this Friday night. We were curious of course, so we stepped out to see what all the hubbub was about. It seems one our neighbors was out of town and their house caught on fire. It was quite a show. There were at least 6 fire trucks including 2 ladder trucks, 2 television crews, and at least 6 or 7 police cars. Very exciting. Sad to watch a neighbors house be destroyed, but exciting none the less.

And here is a little video clip of some of the firefighters planning their attacks. I love how well I was able to get some of the action from about 100 yards away, and without a tripod. I was using the digital zoom on my T3i and my 55-250mm lens which has image stabilization.
