Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.
We try to teach our kids a lot of good things. Some useful, some not. As a child I memorized Bible verses in church. It makes me a little sad to say that many of the references are long washed away by distractions and other things of this world. Even though much of the exact wording has receded somewhere into the back of my mind, sometimes when I need some strength to make the right decision, or remember that God really does care, a phrase comes back.
John 16:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
The Holy Spirit wants to remind you that God loves you and remind you of God’s promises for you. How can he do that if the promises aren’t up there to recall?
What do you think?
