It Was The Best Of Times, It Was The Worst Of Times

Today was a day of mixed emotions for me. It was all about change. Today was Pastor Andy’s last day leading worship. It also marks the announcement of our new worship leader. I’m excited and encouraged at Andy’s faithfulness to follow God, and sad at what I can see as a loss for now. I’m also very excited for our new leadership and have huge hope for the future.

I still tend to fear change initially, but I’ve also come to recognize that most of the best growth in my own life has come as the direct result of a change that I resisted at some point. We will continue to serve God the best we can, regardless of where we are or who God has placed us there for.

Good Morning. Great pictures! Thank you. You had said in your blog above ” It also marks the announcement of our new worship leader.” I think I missed that part. Did someone announce who our new worship leader is?

    1. Hey there Dave. It was announced at the LEQ (Leadership Equiping) Meeting yesterday, but not to a broader audience yet. Jesse Meyer has agreed to return from Vancouver and take the role of Worship Leader. If you don’t know the name, he is the one who led worship with Andy on February 8th. I posted a photo previously at https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10206034781535655&set=gm.10153016614204277&type=1&theater . Again, I’m sad to see Andy go, but I love Jesse’s heart for worship and I’m really hopeful and excited for the future.

That is great news! I was hoping it would be Jesse. He’s got the same style as Andy does, so the transition should be minimal. Any news on when it will be formally announced to the Congregation?

        1. I’m sure Trevor will say something this next weekend. Jesse will begin leading on March 8th, and I know the word will spread fast now that Trevor has told the Leaders.
